Spencer Shay is an eccentric artist in Seattle, Washington. He is Carly's older brother, and used to be her guardian until she moved to Italy to live with their father. Spencer's true passion is art, but that doesn't always pay the bills; sometimes he's resorted to taking odd jobs like a dental hygienist. Sometimes he has a problem with objects spontaneously bursting into flame. He also completed a couple days in law school before dropping out, but still learned some things. While Spencer might be zany and ridiculous at times, he always looked out for Carly's best interests.
